ABOUT ME
I have been there. Thats why I started Vibrant Vet. I know how hard it is to do this job, own the practice, balance life, relationships, family, schedules, health and well being. But I also KNOW it can be easier and more enjoyable. It does take change - which is scary. It does take challenging some of your current beliefs - which is uncomfortable, and it does take some help - which is humbling to ask for. Especially for the driven, “we can do it all” types. You know who I am talking about.
My “why” is my family. I wanted to create space, time and mental energy for them. My previous method was to power through- the “think more” and “do more” method. Well, I was doing all that I was humanly capable of to a breaking point. Sound familiar? Resentment, frustration and overwhelm was the norm and I needed to find a way back to fun, exciting and rewarding.
I learned I need to THINK and DO less and BE MORE. That was where the work began, and it has paid off exponentially. Both literally - more money, and figuratively - more enjoyment and empowerment.
I challenged the traditional culture of devoting all my time and energy to work, clients and patients. I started funneling the energy back to myself, my people and my values. I took responsibility for designing the life, the practice, the schedule and the workplace culture that worked best for me and I want to share that freedom with you.
In 18 years of practicing veterinary medicine I have learned what a healing profession this truly is. We care for animals, we help people, we lead teams and in turn we are healing ourselves. If we allow it and learn to tame it, this can be the fulfilling and meaningful profession it was meant to be and we can be the superheroes we are so capable of becoming.
MY MISSION
To empower veterinarians to live to their fullest potential. Supporting veterinarians in their lives and practices to stay true to their values and visions. Lifting the profession by helping veterinarians challenge limiting beliefs and overcome obstacles to finding joy and peace.
